Take one large wooden crate and line with wet newspaper and straw.
Add a layer of enriched soil
and alternate with more straw /soil layers
until the crate is almost full.
Then plant seedlings
of your favourite
kitchen herbs.
Water gently and sit back
and watch them grow.

ReplyDeleteI created an herb garden in front of my cottage. It is filled to the brim with lavender ;-D and thyme, basil, rosemary, mint and sage....
They keep growing and growing....herbs are the best. They need the most amount of sun, so make sure they get that and you will be rewarded with a great deal of treats :)
Hello Lavender,
ReplyDeletethank you for the great tip!
I hope these plants will get enough sun to grow well. If not, we'll just have to move the box out further into the centre of the yard.
Your cottage sounds very beautiful :-)
blessings..Trish
