Free plants!

  I am so excited!!
Hubby and I were blessed with a number of bulbs and shrubs for our garden :-)
One of his workmates is re-doing his gardens and gave us the first option of taking away the things he no longer wants before it all goes to "green waste".

I have scored a magnolia which I'm keen to see take off here, and lots of hyacinth bulbs and some australian native bushes.
We were also given ( by other people) bluebell bulbs and raspberry canes this week!
Can you guess what I'm doing today?lol!
Hubby has just gone to Bunnings to get some lattice to make a screen for our back corner, and later today we'll be chopping down a scraggly old buddlia tree to allow more space and sunshine for our vegie patch.
Busy busy busy!!!
I'm loving it - I get so excited when I see changes in our home and yard :-D

  4. Hi Trish,
How lucky to be given a magnolia tree.. I hope it tahes for you.
I had a little one many years ago..but Hubby got inventive one day and decided to trim the garden edges with a blow torch ...and burnt it down.
It's OK to laugh...I can smile about it now myself.
    Enjoy your gardening.
